Art Journaling is designed to allow students an open forum for creative exploration and self-expression. Special emphasis will be given to understanding multi-media functions and text as art. The knowledge and skills gained through research, personal reflection, technical skill development, problem solving, and creative thinking, while producing unique journal pages, will produce creative, effective, and well-rounded thinkers. This course will concentrate on self-assessment to analyze and improve work while approaching the art journal as a constant work in progress. The pace of the course will be relaxed and reflective to allow students freedom for experimentation and personal expression.
