No. 1430 Course Credit: 1 Grade Level: 12
Intro to Economics will give students a brief view of the American Economy and comparative systems. An examination of resources, scarcity, and choice provide the framework for an introductory observation of the dismal science. Further analysis of supply and demand, the role of government, and simple microeconomic and macroeconomic divisions will be emphasized. An examination of the world economy as it relates to domestic policy and changing labor markets will sneak its way into the course curriculum as well. And of course, just a little economic theory is good for the mind as well as creative discussion. Discussion of daily current events will be encouraged and rewarded at the discretion of the teacher.
