This course will identify components of individual, family and community health issues. Students will gain knowledge to make informed decisions in the following areas: physical, mental-emotional, social health and wellness, diseases and disorders, human sexuality and relationships, drug awareness concerns, and first aid/ CPR.

Healthy Lifestyles is a nine-week elective course that will emphasize the importance of knowledge, attitudes, and practices relating to personal health and wellness.  It is a class designed to expose students to a broad range of issues and information relating to the various aspects of personal health; which include the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and environmental aspects.  Topics of exploration include:  nutrition, healthy eating, and weight management, diseases, substance use and abuse, the media’s influence on our health and wellness, healthy relationships, and first aid.

No. 1801 | Course Credit: .5 | Grade Level: 9

This course credit is required for graduation at Little Falls Community High School. The class will reinforce skills in tennis, soccer, football, softball, track and field and volleyball. Students will be evaluated by physical skills tests, observations, written tests as well as participation and effort.

No. 1810 | Course Credit: .5 | Grade Level: 10

This course credit is required for graduation at Little Falls Community High School. The class is designed for students to enhance and refine their skills in activities such as soccer, football, softball, tennis, volleyball, pickle ball, and badminton. There will be a focus on cooperative team concepts, individual participation, and physical fitness.

No. 1821| Course Credit: .5 | Grade Level: 11 - 12

This course is a nine-week elective course with emphasis on activities and skills that may include softball, soccer, football, volleyball, tennis and fitness testing. The course will include knowledge of the rules and safety concerns. May take a second time for credit.

Indoor Fitness for Life
No. 1800 | Course Credit: .5 | Grade Level: 9

This course credit is required for graduation at Little Falls Community High School. The class will reinforce skills in badminton, pickle ball, gymnastics, table tennis, archery, ice skating and tournament set ups. Students will be evaluated by physical skills tests, observations, written tests as well as participation and effort.

Outdoor Fitness for Life

This course credit is required for graduation at Little Falls Community High School. The class will reinforce skills in tennis, soccer, football, softball, track and field and volleyball.
